Ashmond Oberson Smith and Delia Delilah Demo marriage record.

My great grandfather and grandmother were supposed to have been married in Elkader, Clayton, Iowa. Their marriage date is Sept 27, 1871. If that record could be found I would like to obtain a copy of it. Thank you.

re: Birth Records

According to the County Recorder, birth records go back to 1880. If you want to search for records from 1880-1886, you should contact the Recorder's Office. Their contact information can be found by clicking 'Contacts' in the site's menu at the top of the page.

Birth Records

Clayton County, 1859-1886 If records do exist from this time period I would like to receive a copy of my ancestor's birth records. Specifically: Children of Paul Willman (My 3rd Great-Grandfather) and his wife Karoline. They resided near Postville. Thanks for reading, I appreciate it.

Re: File stamped marriage license

You will probably have to get a certified copy of your marriage license from the recorder's office in the county where you applied for your license.
