Board of Supervisors Minutes - July 25, 2012

Meeting of the Clayton County Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, Iowa.
Present:  Gary Bowden, Larry Gibbs, Ron McCartney
 
McCartney moved to approve renewal of a liquor license and outdoor permit for Tri-City Golf Club. Gibbs seconded. Motion carried.
 
McCartney moved to approve renewal of a native wine permit for Spook Cave Campground. Gibbs seconded. Motion carried.
 
Jean Gage presented a contract from Covenant for mental health and substance abuse commitments. Gibbs moved to approve the contract. McCartney seconded. Motion carried.
 
The Clayton County Veteran’s Affairs Commission was present to discuss changes made in the Clayton County Veteran’s Affairs policies. The document has been updated by changing “policies” to “guidelines” adding a mission statement and several other minor wording changes. McCartney moved to table approval of the Guidelines document in order to seek legal counsel. Gibbs seconded. Motion carried.
 
Gibbs moved to authorize signing change orders for the county office building renovation. McCartney seconded. Motion carried.
 
McCartney moved to approve the second amendment of a rental agreement with DHS-Targeted Case Management. Gibbs seconded. Motion carried.
